The THOR 2.4 stone crusher mulcher is the all-round choice for farms and contractors with tractors from 180 cv. At 2.4 m working width and 2,300 kg, it delivers the crushing power needed for rocky land clearing, soil preparation, and demolition debris reduction.

Rock to Gravel in Four Steps
The THOR stone crusher mulcher uses a high-inertia rotor with carbide-tipped hammers to fracture and reduce stones in a single tractor pass — no pre-screening, no secondary crushing required.
The high-inertia rotor spins at working speed. Carbide-tipped hammers strike rocks at high velocity, fracturing them through impact. Rocks up to 400 mm diameter are reduced in the first contact.
Fractured fragments pass through the reduction chamber where they strike anvils and deflector plates repeatedly — each impact reducing fragment size further until pieces pass through the sizing grid.
A fixed sizing grid at the rear of the machine controls the maximum fragment size discharged. Only material below the grid opening size exits — oversize fragments recirculate for further reduction.
Reduced material is discharged as a gravel windrow behind the machine — ready for spreading as sub-base fill, road base, drainage material, or incorporated directly into the soil profile.

Which Rocks Can the THOR Crush?
The THOR stone crusher mulcher is optimised for surface rock and shallow buried rock up to 400 mm diameter. Rock type and hardness determine the appropriate model and working speed.
The THOR's ideal material. Limestone fractures cleanly under impact, produces consistent gravel-sized fragments, and causes minimal hammer wear. Standard working speed of 3 km/h.
Soft to medium sedimentary rock crushes easily. Sandstone, shale, and mudstone produce fine material that blends well into the soil profile — ideal for agricultural land reclamation.
Hard basalt and volcanic rock can be crushed but requires reduced working speed (1.5–2 km/h) and increases hammer wear rate. Recommend THOR 3.0 for high-volume basalt operations.
Weathered granite is suitable at reduced speed. Fresh unweathered granite above 200 MPa UCS may exceed the THOR's design envelope — contact us for a site assessment before ordering.
Unreinforced concrete and masonry crush efficiently. For reinforced concrete slabs, remove rebar before processing — steel reinforcement wraps around the rotor and requires manual clearing.
The THOR simultaneously handles rock, root stumps, and woody debris in a single pass — common in land-clearing operations where rock outcrops are mixed with tree stumps and brushwood.
