One Complete System.

IL EW-4000 rock rake E CT-2100 rock picker are engineered to work in sequence — the rake sweeps surface stones into clean windrows, the picker collects them into its 2.5 m³ bunker. Together they clear any field in one coordinated operation.

Tractor-Mounted Rock Rake — Hydraulic & Mechanical

The EW-4000 rock rake sweeps surface stones into clean windrows in a single pass — clearing fields for planting, protecting tractor tyres and combine headers, and preparing land for the CT-2100 rock picker that follows. Available in standard hydraulic-drive (EW-4000) and mechanical passive-tine (EW-4000 T) configurations.

  • 3.6 m working width — covers 1.8 ha per hour at 5 km/h
  • EW-4000: hydraulic drive, 100 cv tractor, 60 L/min oil flow
  • EW-4000 T: mechanical tines, 75 cv tractor — no hydraulics required
  • Cat. 2 bottom linkage, working speed 3–5 km/h
  • Rows stones for follow-on CT-2100 collection in one pass

Self-Loading Rock Picker Machine — 2.5 m³ Bunker

The CT-2100 rock picker machine follows the EW-4000 to collect the windrow into its 2.5 m³ bunker — lifting stones cleanly off the soil surface without soil contamination, then tipping them at the field boundary for disposal or repurpose.

  • 2.5 m³ bunker — fewer tip cycles per hectare, faster clearance
  • 1.95 m working width — matched to standard row spacing
  • Hydraulic self-tipping — one-lever operation from the tractor cab
  • Cat. 2 bottom linkage, 110 cv tractor minimum
  • Compact footprint: 6,000 mm length for easy field-to-road transport

The Complete Stone Removal Process

Three-stage sequence — rake, collect, crush. Choose the stages that match your stone density, budget, and final land use requirement.

1
Site Assessment

Walk the field and assess stone density per square metre. Light surface scatter — rake only. Moderate density — rake then pick. Dense or large stones — frantoio per pietre first, then rake clean.

2
EW-4000 Rock Raking

Run the EW-4000 at 3–5 km/h across the field. The hydraulic or mechanical tines sweep surface stones into parallel windrows, leaving the soil surface clean between rows ready for picking.

3
CT-2100 Stone Collection

Follow the windrows with the CT-2100 at 3–5 km/h. The picker lifts stones from the windrow into the 2.5 m³ bunker automatically. When full, tip at the field boundary in seconds from the cab.

4
Final Surface Pass

A final pass with the EW-4000 across the cleared field removes any residual fragments. The field is then ready for rotavating, planting, or road construction without stone damage to equipment.

Stone-Free Productive Land

Cleared land supports full mechanisation — planters, rotavators, harvesters and soil stabilizers can all operate without stone damage.

Applications

Stone Removal Machine Applications in India

India Watanabe stone removal machines clear fields, prepare potato land, clean pastures, support construction, and reclaim woodland — wherever stones are the obstacle to productive use.

Stone removal machine clearing agricultural field India
Agricultural Land Clearing
Field Preparation for Planting

Surface stones prevent precision planters, rotavators and harvesters from running at full speed. One EW-4000 pass followed by CT-2100 collection prepares land for mechanised farming in a single day.

Rock rake preparing potato field India stone removal
Potato Cultivation
Pre-Planting Stone Removal for Potato Fields

Stones in potato fields cause tuber deformity, skinning damage, and harvester blockages. India Watanabe rock rakes are purpose-built for pre-planting clearance — the same brand behind the Watanabe PAI and PANTHER potato planter series.

Stone removal from pasture land India livestock farm
Pasture Improvement
Pasture Clearing for Livestock and Haymaking

Surface rocks puncture silage wrap, damage mower blades, and injure livestock. The EW-4000 T mechanical rake (75 cv, no hydraulics) handles pasture clearing economically.

Stone removal machine clearing construction site India
Construction Site Preparation
Site Clearing for Roads, Buildings and Platforms

The EW-4000 rock rake clears surface stones rapidly from construction sites — protecting plant machinery, vehicle tyres and ground workers before earthwork begins.

Stone removal from cleared woodland India land reclamation
Land Reclamation
Woodland Clearing and New Land Reclamation

Newly cleared woodland and reclaimed wasteground carries high stone loads. The EW-4000 rakes all surface material into windrows; the CT-2100 follows to collect and tip at the field edge.

Rock picker machine collecting stones orchard vineyard India
Orchards and Vineyards
Between-Row Stone Clearing for Perennial Crops

IL CT-2100 rock picker works between orchard rows without disturbing root zones. Compact tipping at the row end and 1.95 m working width suit established fruit and vine plantations.

FAQ

Stone Removal Machines — Common Questions

Questions from Indian farmers, contractors and land developers before choosing the right stone removal equipment.

What is the difference between the EW-4000 and EW-4000 T rock rakes?
IL EW-4000 is hydraulically driven and requires a tractor with a minimum 100 cv engine and 60 L/min hydraulic oil flow. The EW-4000 T uses passive mechanical tines — no hydraulic connection required — and operates with a lighter 75 cv tractor. Both share the same 3.6 m working width, Cat. 2 linkage, and 3–5 km/h working speed.
Can the EW-4000 and CT-2100 be operated by a single tractor in the same pass?
No — the EW-4000 rock rake E CT-2100 rock picker are designed for sequential operation, not tandem mounting. The rake runs first across the whole field to build windrows; the picker then follows along the windrow lines to collect into the bunker.
What stone size can the CT-2100 rock picker handle?
IL CT-2100 is rated for stones up to approximately 400–500 mm diameter after they have been rowed by the EW-4000. Larger individual stones — boulders above 500 mm — should be mechanically split before the picker pass. For very large stone volumes, consider the THOR stone crusher as the first stage.
How many hectares per day can the EW-4000 clear?
At 5 km/h and 3.6 m working width, the EW-4000 covers approximately 1.8 ha per hour — expect 12–15 ha per 8-hour day under good conditions. On irregular or stony fields requiring slower 3 km/h passes, this reduces to 7–10 ha per day. The CT-2100 rock picker is slower due to tipping cycles — typically 5–8 ha per day depending on stone density.
Can India Watanabe stone removal machines be used in paddy field preparation?
The EW-4000 and CT-2100 are designed for dry field operation — not suitable for flooded or saturated paddy conditions. In the pre-monsoon dry season, paddy field borders, bunds and upland sections can be cleared effectively. The machines perform best on firm, dry to moderately moist soil.
