Machines.
Rock Rake · Rock Picker · Stone Crusher — India Watanabe
Two tractor-mounted machines — one complete surface stone management system. Rake stones into windrows with the EW-4000 rock rake, then collect them clean with the CT-2100 rock picker. Built for Indian agriculture since 1970.
Three Machines.
One Complete System.
The EW-4000 rock rake and CT-2100 rock picker are engineered to work in sequence — the rake sweeps surface stones into clean windrows, the picker collects them into its 2.5 m³ bunker. Together they clear any field in one coordinated operation.
The EW-4000 rock rake sweeps surface stones into clean windrows in a single pass — clearing fields for planting, protecting tractor tyres and combine headers, and preparing land for the CT-2100 rock picker that follows. Available in standard hydraulic-drive (EW-4000) and mechanical passive-tine (EW-4000 T) configurations.
- 3.6 m working width — covers 1.8 ha per hour at 5 km/h
- EW-4000: hydraulic drive, 100 cv tractor, 60 L/min oil flow
- EW-4000 T: mechanical tines, 75 cv tractor — no hydraulics required
- Cat. 2 bottom linkage, working speed 3–5 km/h
- Rows stones for follow-on CT-2100 collection in one pass
The CT-2100 rock picker machine follows the EW-4000 to collect the windrow into its 2.5 m³ bunker — lifting stones cleanly off the soil surface without soil contamination, then tipping them at the field boundary for disposal or repurpose. Compact, heavy at 3,400 kg, and engineered for the most demanding stone loads.
- 2.5 m³ bunker — fewer tip cycles per hectare, faster clearance
- 1.95 m working width — matched to standard row spacing
- Hydraulic self-tipping — one-lever operation from the tractor cab
- Cat. 2 bottom linkage, 110 cv tractor minimum
- Compact footprint: 6,000 mm length for easy field-to-road transport
The Complete Stone Removal Process
Three-machine sequence — rake, collect, crush. Choose the stages that match your stone density, budget, and final land use requirement.
Walk the field and assess stone density per square metre. Light surface scatter — rake only. Moderate density — rake then pick. Dense or large stones — crusher first, then rake clean.
Run the EW-4000 at 3–5 km/h across the field. The hydraulic or mechanical tines sweep surface stones into parallel windrows, leaving the soil surface clean between rows ready for picking.
Follow the windrows with the CT-2100 at 3–5 km/h. The picker lifts stones from the windrow into the 2.5 m³ bunker automatically. When full, tip at the field boundary in seconds from the cab.
A final pass with the EW-4000 across the cleared field removes any residual fragments. The field is then ready for rotavating, planting, or road construction without stone damage to equipment.
Cleared land supports full mechanisation — planters, rotavators, harvesters and soil stabilizers can all operate without stone damage. One season of stone removal pays for the equipment across the field life.

Stone Removal Machine Applications in Indien
India Watanabe stone removal machines clear fields, prepare potato land, clean pastures, support construction, and reclaim woodland — wherever stones are the obstacle to productive use.
Surface stones prevent precision planters, rotavators and harvesters from running at full speed. One EW-4000 pass followed by CT-2100 collection eliminates stone damage to machinery and prepares land for mechanised farming in a single day.
Stones in potato fields cause tuber deformity, skinning damage, and harvester blockages. India Watanabe rock rakes are purpose-built for pre-planting clearance — the same brand behind the Watanabe PAI and PANTHER potato planter series.
Surface rocks puncture silage wrap, damage mower blades, and injure livestock. The EW-4000 T mechanical rake (75 cv, no hydraulics) handles pasture clearing economically — then the CT-2100 removes collected stones to the field boundary.
The EW-4000 rock rake clears surface stones rapidly from construction sites — protecting plant machinery, vehicle tyres and ground workers. Follow with the CT-2100 to remove collected stones before earthwork or foundation work begins.
Newly cleared woodland and reclaimed wasteground carries high stone loads. The EW-4000 rakes all surface material into windrows; the CT-2100 follows to collect and tip at the field edge — converting raw land to farmable ground in one pass per zone.
The CT-2100 rock picker works between orchard rows without disturbing root zones. Compact tipping at the row end, hydraulic cab operation, and the 1.95 m working width suit the confined passes of established fruit and vine plantations.
